Inspiration
I’ve created art my entire life. My elementary school worksheets were covered in doodles, and I eagerly awaited each art class (we only got one every six weeks, so I had to make it count). I was a painfully shy child, and art was my means of expression. When couldn’t relate to my peers, I drew them. When I was too inhibited to take risks in the real world, art offered unlimited possibilities. Even when I worked office jobs to pay rent, I never stopped creating; it’s like breathing. To me, art is a very intimate way of expressing love for the subject, and as someone who has trouble fitting in, art is how I form a relationship with the wider world.

I come from seven generations of Texans, and the native landscapes are my primary inspiration.
